What a wonderful place ..hired 3 cottages for the werkend for my 70 th ..had a glorious time with all my family ! Beautifully ptesented cottages with lake ..games barn ect
Great place for relaxing
We have stayed in Grooms Cottage and Barton Lodge and both were just amazing. We were a gang of 9 family and friends and the cottages and location were perfect for all ages from baby to Grandparent. There is a sauna and jacuzzi and a games room where many hours were spent with the inter-family table tennis championships!For the children there is a climbing frame fort and a trampoline. There are little animals to amuse and collect eggs from. There are bar be ques and fire pits to sit around in the evening. There are 2 lakes, one for fishing and the other to canoe on and play on. And the views are amazing.There are washing machines and dryers and logs for the fires in the evening. Everything you could need has been thought of and provided. And everything is SOOOOO clean!!We are coming back again this year. And we can't wait. The Jolliffe Family - Poole
In Barton house for a week not enough,everything idyllic,if you like quiet fishing this is the place had the lake to myself all week caught loads of small tench also carp up to 12lbs..during our stay had 6 fresh eggs one morning..family were so helpful in everything we wanted to do ...directed us to some lovely places...Tarr bridge ..wonderful..if you have never tried canoing you can at this place its fantastic ....WE WILL BE BACK.. As soon as we arrived we were greated by the owners and shown around the house. Cream tea on arrival just starts you off in the holiday mode. Everything was great apart from the weather at times, that aside we had a lovely time and would recommend this location. We were a party of 8, 2 families who just enjoyed every minute, not too far to get to the beach and plenty to do locally. The woods are great for walking and we also took the dog, he loved it.Overall, a fantastic time was had by all and we would love to return next year, or maybe around Christmas if we can get away.The Hall families
