My go to chippy when I'm heading home after a long day or just because I fancy chips. I've been a customer for over twenty five years and have never had reason to complain. Fish is always good, chips vary depending on the time of day but always as good as home cooked and chicken is fresh from John May Butchers so not frozen junk from a cash and carry.
I feel cheated!! The chips I could see in the warming tray looked, assumed I was getting those. When I got home and saw what I did actually have I felt thoroughly cheated. I realised after that my chips came from the other warming draw, and the view was blocked by the lady serving me. Clearly what we ended up with was cooked two three times over because everything was completely crunchy and dark brown, inc the grease. Are potatoes Really that expensive wholesale that you cant cook fresh for 2.50 a portion?! Such a disappointment and we just ended up throwing most of them away.
