Went with My wife and teenage children (and dog!) over the new year, had a fantastic time, the lodge was spotlessly clean and a lot more luxurious than I anticipated. Brilliant location, local pubs superb for food and drink, and all very welcoming (including dog!) Have to say was a bit wary of some of the other reviews before booking, but honestly I can't believe what some people moan about!Peaceful, stunning scenery, great accommodation, fantastic location, great places to visit including exmoor and a hot tub to relax in at the end of the day! Very warm and clean. Some of the facilities were falling apart. Hot tub took 15 hours to heat up to a usable temperature. Parking was difficult due to slopes and gravel.No communal facilities, no walks found close to site.Still plenty of work to be done on the site before it is actually what it advertises.

Don't believe what you read. Lodge not to bad. Site nothing open on site only saw one member of staff the gardener hot tub under trees making decking and hottub very messy from foliage also road leading to site not very car friendly ALSO no Wi-Fi.
We wasnt told the restaurant and bar wouldn't be open. Which meant we had to drive out for dinner and it didn't say this on the website. But what a lovely place to stay. We wanted a quiet family weekend away and its an ideal place to stay. The lodge was lovely clean and very modern with everything you need. We will defintely go back. Oh and the kids loved the chocolates left on the table.
